The Stuttgart Run for Children's Rights has taken place annually since 2006. Since 2018, the event has been held at the University of Stuttgart's sports grounds. Thanks to all those who have taken part over the years, around EUR 450,000 have already been donated to Stuttgart institutions. The Stuttgart Run is one of the largest runs in support of children's rights in Germany.

This year's run on the University of Stuttgart sports grounds (Vaihingen campus) starts at 4 p.m. on Science Day. On the weekend of June 8 and 9 from 4 p.m. to 4 p.m., it's that time again: run, walk, walk or run together on the six 400-meter tracks with professional timekeeping. Speed is not important. Anyone who feels like running laps for a good cause over a 24-hour period and support Stuttgart's children's projects is welcome to sign-up. It doesn't matter how fast you run, or how many laps, but that the competitors have their own personal sponsors who sponsor a specified amount for each lap completed - a few cents or a higher sum, any donation is welcome. Non-runners can also support the charity run, by simply transferring a contribution of their choice to the donation account of the 24-hour run.

The University of Stuttgart invites all participants young and old to immerse themselves in the world of science before the start: The Kid´s university lecture is all about sport for children and young people and there are lots of hands-on activities to try out.

The University of Stuttgart is an active member of the Förderverein Kinderfreundliches Stuttgart e.V.
