School for a day offerings for children and youth

School Research Campus

Waiting for knowledge-hungry school children and parents of any age are numerous workshops, internships, lectures, and School for a Day offerings in doing experiments and research.

These varied School for a Day offerings for school-age children and youth are bundled in the University of Stuttgart’s School Research Campus. They are tailored to different age groups that range from the first grade to the final school year. Nearly the entire discipline spectrum of the University is represented – be it by natural sciences like physics, chemistry, by mathematics or engineering sciences like mechanical engineering, by construction and environmental engineering, computer scinece, electronics and process technology.

Through these projects, the University of Stuttgart supports the course offerings of local schools. Many of our offerings provide teaching materials for classroom instruction, and the Fehling Lab, for example, also features continuing education for teachers.
Also centered in the School Research Campus are numerous cooperative offerings with facilities outside the university, such as with  AEROSPACE LAB, child development research laboratories, or the Fraunhofer Society.
