Documentary film by Gisela Reich, BR Deutschland 1974, 57 min.,
Production: SDR Stuttgart, language: German

Introduction Prof. Klaus Jan Philipp, ifag

Rolf Gutbrod (1910–1999) in a Porsche in the Swabian Alps, in Saudi Arabia, Vienna, Berlin, Cologne and Stuttgart. Gutbrod was one of the first star architects in the Federal Republic of Germany and liked to pose in front of his buildings. Commentaries by Frei Otto and Günter Behnisch qualify his anthroposophical architecture, which always focused on people. As early as 1960, Gisela Reich produced a film on the architecture of the Weißenhofsiedlung. She also offers insight into the architect's private life at the height of his success.

This event is organized by the Institute of Architectural History.
