The Next Frontiers Congress brings together scientists, business experts, and science fiction authors. When different scientific disciplines collide with ideas from authors, things are steered in a completely new direction, or are turned completely upside down: this is how new visions are created. This congress encourages the development of ideas far away from established thought patterns, focusing on the massive, reality-changing potential of literature, film and other art forms – the transfer potential between fictional worlds and real laboratories that is often used in the history of technology.
