Vocational teaching – dual

Master of Education  Teaching Qualification

Start of studies: winter semester
Standard Period of Study: 4 semesters
Teaching Language: German

This study program is not offered in English. For further information please visit the German version of the study program.

The Master's study program Vocational teaching – dual enables a change of career from the engineering sciences into the vocational teaching profession and thus the opportunity to pass on knowledge to young people. The program is intended for students who have previously completed an engineering degree in the fields of electrical engineering and information technology or computer science and are seeking admission to the teaching profession at vocational schools.

In this Master's degree program, you will specialize in mathematics as an elective subject alongside your engineering major. The integrated combination of academic studies and preparatory service integrates a teacher training course (1st phase) with the traineeship (in German: Referendariat; 2nd phase of teacher training). To ensure that practical components are incorporated into the study program, the University of Stuttgart works together with the Seminar für Ausbildung und Fortbildung der Lehrkräfte Stuttgart (Berufliche Schulen).

This Master's program is designed for individuals interested in teaching at vocational schools. If you have a passion for working with young people, are interested in teaching and learning dynamics, and are eager to impart knowledge and foster skill development in your chosen subjects, then this course is ideal for you.
