School classes and society do not just differentiate themselves in terms of sex, religion or ethnic origin; the increasing void between rich and poor, is emphasizing the inequalities that exist between different social backgrounds. The panel discussion “Cultural education and social inequality” invites the audience to critically contemplate the links between social backgrounds and access to cultural education. The evening will begin with a theater production.

This panel discussion is part of the innovation initiative “Kooperation in allen Lehramtsfächern auf- und ausbauen” (forming and developing cooperation in all teaching subjects) at the Professional School of Education Stuttgart-Ludwigsburg. This event signals the launch of the project with the same name that aims to ensure the sensitization to and promotion of a more sustainable willingness from future teachers and educators to reflect on the prerequisites required to ensure the necessary social conditions to allow cultural education.

The launch event is open to all interested parties. Photos and audio video recordings will be taken during the event.

Event language: German
