Expert networks are taking part in the run “Digitalization: up and running!”
The run will take place on July 27 and everyone is invited to join in!

Jogging and networking – that is the fundamental idea behind the digitalization run with marathon expert Jürgen Mennel (Ex-vice world champion over 100 km distance). With the slogan “Digitalization: up and running!”, this run will start at the Fraunhofer Institute for Industrial Engineering (IAO) – and everyone is invited to join in! This event is not about top sporting performance, but about the transfer of knowledge and discussions about digitalization. The run has been organized as part of the state government’s digitalization strategy, together with the Ministry of the Interior, Digitalization and Migration.

Date and time:           27.07., 11.35am
The main 5km run is a circular route between the Fraunhofer IAO and HLRS.

Everyone is welcome to join in!

The circular route is five kilometers long and at a speed that everyone can keep pace with. Anyone who wants to speed things up is welcome to put in a sporting finish at the uni stadium. Those taking part come from a range of technology clusters, companies, municipalities and digital start-ups. At around 12.30pm a relay race to Tübingen will also begin, where the state’s Interior Minister Thomas Strobl will complete the last section, carrying the baton over the finish line.

An innovation workshop by Digitalakademie@bw will also be taking place at the same time as the relay race, in collaboration with local umbrella organizations, computer centers, the Führungsakademie BW and the Fraunhofer IAO. The High Performance Computing Center (HLRS) and various other institutes at the University of Stuttgart are also involved.
