Annexes to the hygiene concept

A disinfectant for disinfecting surfaces up to 2 m² will be supplied. It contains 80% ethanol, is flammable, and irritates the eyes. It is not recommended to disinfect your hands with this product.

How do the institutes get disinfectants?

  1. Please contact the Safety Department (Michael Rannenberg, +49 711 685-63027 via e-mail).
  2. Designate a contact person who shall be authorized to receive disinfectants for your institute.
  3. An empty 5 l canister will be handed over to the contact person after a date has been arranged.
  4. The contact person can go to the chemical dispensary of the Institute of Organic Chemistry (Pfaffenwaldring 55) and fill the canister with disinfectant.
  5. If the institute is not yet listed, an account will be set up and the disinfectant will be accounted for.
  6. If necessary, empty canisters will be refilled.
  7. It is not permitted to transport full canisters by public transport. Private vehicles or company cars can be used during the Corona crisis.

An operating instruction in accordance with Section 14 of the Ordinance on Hazardous Substances are centrally available (for posters please use the German original instruction). There are also downloadable labels that can be printed and affixed to containers into which the disinfectant is transferred.
