Focus on research regarding green energy and hydrogen: Universities want to expand their cooperation further

Professor Wolfram Ressel, Rector of the University of Stuttgart, and Dr. Rumee Ahmed, Vice Provost International at the University of British Columbia (UBC) in Canada, signed the Statement of Cooperation on November 30, 2022. With the agreement, the two universities strengthen their existing partnership and agree to cooperate more closely, particularly in the areas of Science, Technology and Innovation. Especially collaborative research projects on green energy and hydrogen, in support of the Canada-Germany Hydrogen Alliance signed in August 2022, will be carried out together.

In addition, the two universities would like to further promote and intensify the exchange of visiting students, scholars, faculty and post-doctoral fellows as well as the exchange of scholarly information including research papers, indices to theses, books on relevant subjects, forums and conferences. They are also looking into the possibility of other possible areas of cooperation in a variety of research and academic projects.
