Natural and Technical Science (NwT)

Technology enables mobility, communication, and innovation. At the same time, with regard to climate change, the future of energy supply, and the global digitalization process, it confronts us with societal challenges. A networked education in the natural and engineering sciences is therefore important in order to understand how technology works, how it is used, and what risks it entails.

The NwT study program is interdisciplinary and prepares students for a career as NwT teachers at general education secondary schools (Gymnasien) in Baden-Württemberg. Over the course of your studies, you will acquire scientific, engineering, sociological, subject-didactic, and educational competencies in order to enable school students to gain a general education in the natural and technological sciences.
