Electrical Engineering and Information Technology
Whether it’s smartphones, electric cars, sustainable energy systems, or innovative medical devices – electrical engineering and information technology engineers help shape the future. Electrical engineering is the backbone of our modern world. Modern society is inconceivable without electricity, information technology, and sensors. An analogy illustrates the importance of electrical engineering: Electricity is as essential as blood – or the circulatory system – is to the human body, while information technology is as crucial as the brain and nervous system. The degree program is broadly structured and provides a foundation of methodological and technical knowledge. In later semesters, students choose a specialized focus area.
