Electrical engineering is the backbone of our modern world. Modern society is inconceivable without electricity, information technology, and sensors. An analogy illustrates the importance of electrical engineering: Electricity is as essential as blood – or the circulatory system – is to the human body, while information technology is as crucial as the brain and nervous system. The degree program is broadly structured and provides a foundation of methodological and technical knowledge. In later semesters, students choose a specialized focus area.
