Optimal use of resources for a livable, sustainable future.

Chemical and Bioengineering combine technology and natural sciences and is considered a key technology for future-oriented fields such as energy, environment, medicine, and nutrition. The study program focuses on understanding, simulating, and implementing chemical, biological, and physical processes in technical systems – for example, in the production of pharmaceuticals, fertilizers, plastics, or food. This study program combines content from the fields of physics, chemistry, biology, and process engineering. More specifically, chemical and bioengineering play a key role in many everyday products — from car catalytic converters to cereal packaging and toothpaste.
