Prof. Sibylle Baumbach has been chosen to join the board of the Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes, Germany’s biggest and oldest sponsorship organization for the academically gifted. Sibylle Baumbach is Professor of English Literature at the University of Stuttgart. As an alumna of the student foundation, she was often involved as a lecturer at summer academies and academic colleges. Since 2017, she has been on the jury for awarding the foundation’s academic processes. In 2017 she was appointed as a liaison professor in Innsbruck and in 2018 as a liaison professor in Stuttgart.

The foundation’s board decides upon the strategic organization and operative issues at the management level and these directives are then implemented by the foundation managers. The board deals with sponsors, makes decisions about new funding programs and collaborations with other institutions, as well as general budget issues.
