Mathematics day for school students

10/12/19, 10:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

On mathematics day, we will be offering lectures and workshops that are aimed at school students from the German school grades 7-13. Furthermore, you will also have the chance to meet professors and lecturers from this field of study, as well the creators of the event organizers “Schülerzirkel”.

Grade-specific workshops

Grades 7/8:
Cryptography on a computer
Magic squares

Grades 9/10:
Complete induction
Graph theory

Grades 11/12:
Propositional logic
Zeros of polynomials
Simple functions and chaos

Additional information:
Teachers that wish to register whole groups can do this by emailing zirkel@mathematik.uni-stuttgart.de.
Please include the following information for each student in the email:
Surname, first name, grade, meals yes/no
