Day of organic chemistry

October 13, 2017 9:00 AM

As in previous years, this event offers a special opportunity to get to know some of the best organic chemistry doctoral students the University of Stuttgart and neighboring universities have to offer and to gain valuable insight into current fields of research. The program this year (see below) will include short presentations from doctoral students from research groups based in Freiburg, Heidelberg, Constance, Tübingen, Ulm and Stuttgart. This is an important chance for the doctoral students to promote themselves and their work. The Day of Organic Chemistry (TOCUS) is also aimed at appealing to former employees and colleagues in the industry who are searching for new talent, networking, and gathering new information. The event finale will be the 21st Thieme Lecture in Organic and Bioorganic Chemistry, held by Nobel Prize Winner in Chemistry, Prof. Jean-Pierre Sauvage from the University of Strasbourg.
