The lecture series "AI for engineers" presents methods of AI to solve current problems in science and economy in an innovative way by using AI. The lecture series presents the different perspectives of ten lecturers on the field.

On Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2023 at 3:45 p.m., Dominik Hörauf, Institute of Entrepreneurship and Innovation Science (ENI), will speak on the topic of "Basic Principles of Neural Networks."

The lecture "Basic Principles of Neural Networks" focuses on the application of neural networks using Natural Language Processing (NLP) as an example. Students will learn about how neural networks work and the basic principles of NLP. For example, important concepts such as word vectorization, tokenization, and deep learning will be discussed in more detail. The lecture thus offers an insight into an important subsection of artificial intelligence and uses examples to show how neural networks help to enable human-like text comprehension and generation. By the end of the lecture, students should have a basic understanding of neural networks and natural language processing.

New lecture series "AI for engineers" in the framework of the project IKILeUS (HLRS / IHR). Valid as interdisciplinary key qualification FüSQ and in the thematic field module T9 Engineering Sciences but also for interested non-specialists.
