2023 is coming to an end and, looking back, the university has achieved a great deal together through numerous smaller and larger steps on the way to an inclusive place to study, research and work at the University of Stuttgart. Much remains to be done in the coming year, but now the Vice Rectorate for Diversity and Internationalization, would like to pause for a moment to say THANK YOU for your commitment and interest. Therefore the Vice Rectorate for Diversity and Internationalization kindly invites you to a movie night. The movie "FEMINISM WTF" will be shown.
The ARD describes this documentary as "provocative, surprising, inspiring". It uses good arguments, factual study results, historical research and personal experiences to make a plea for more equality.
But which variety of topics does feminism deal with currently? Experts from the political and social sciences, masculinity studies, gender, queer and trans studies will explore this question in these one and a half hours. Connections between sexism, racism and capitalism are made clear.
This film shows that and how we can all make a contribution to breaking down power and dependency relationships - for a society based on solidarity, in which everyone can develop their personality and potential to the best of their ability.
