New Head of University Communications

Expressing his enthusiasm for the role, Florian Krüger states, "I am eager to contribute to positioning our research-oriented university within one of the most innovative regions in Europe. Alongside my team, I aim to elevate the University of Stuttgart's distinctive interdisciplinary profile, garnering public attention and emphasizing its appeal, particularly for students and staff. Our goal is to heighten awareness of the university's significant contributions to a sustainable society."

Prior to joining the University of Stuttgart, the 45-year-old held the position of Head of University Communications of the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University (DHBW), where he was responsible for internal and external communications, as well as marketing across all locations. Florian Krüger has also served in senior communications roles and as a press spokesperson for an online job exchange in Düsseldorf and a comparison portal in Heidelberg.

He studied Communication Science at the University of Hohenheim and also completed his doctoral degree there.
