The 6-story building houses the Institute for Social Sciences, the Institute of Navigation, the Language Center, the ZENDAS, the RUS-CERT, student computer pools, workshops and studios.
The access paths are mostly in poor condition and partly blocked by obstacles. The main entrance is not wheelchair-accessible. The access for wheelchair users is located at the back of the building, opposite the temporary lecture hall. However, since the entrance is at the level of a stair landing, inside the building a stair lift (with Eurokey) must be used to get to the elevator.
The main entrance is on the south side of the building, with access from Breitscheidstrasse (parking lot). Stairway to the entrance. The wheelchair accessible entrance is located at the back of the building.
Step markings are largely missing, the handrails on the stairs do not comply with standards.
There is an accessible university parking space at the side of the building. Public parking spaces are located some distance away at the Stadtgarten (along Schellingsstrasse) and at the extension building of the Stuttgart Technology University of Applied Sciences (5 Breitscheidstr.).
The elevator is accessible.
The main entrance door is not automated. Wheelchair users can access the building through the automatic door at the back of the building. The floors can only be accessed via heavy fire doors made of glass.
There is an accessible restroom with shower on the 1st basement floor (Eurokey locking system).
