Regardless of which means of transport we ourselves use, if we order a book or a supermarket is
supplied – efficient transport systems are one of the foundations of a modern society. Modern
transport systems must make changes of location fast, safe, and reliable.
It is the transport engineer that plans and operates these transport systems. Starting from analyzing land use structure and mobility behavior, they design the transport offering. They forecast the demand for transportation as well as the cost of building and operating transport systems.
The transport engineer Bachelor’s is an engineering study program in which higher mathematics and engineering mechanics count among the required modules. Lectures on fundamentals of business economics and of computer science are also given.
- Interest in traffic and transport trends and in helping to shape them (also to ensure the mobility of tomorrow).
- Collaborative, subject/profession transcending solutions of (current and future) problems
- Affinity for mathematics, engineering mechanics, and computer science – because transport engineering is an engineering study program.
