A wide range of technologies are used to produce renewable energies. Every kind of energy conversion e.g. via a solar collector or a wind turbine is subject to specific physical-technical principals. This technological diversity is reflected in the interdisciplinary structure of the bachelor’s study program. The combination of elementary fields of study from mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and information technology, as well as aerospace engineering provides access to a wide range of areas of expertise.
The study program can be adapted to suit individual interests, offering a choice of three different kinds of renewable energies. The focus is on wind energy, hydrodynamic power, solar energy, photovoltaic, biomass and network integration. By offering a range of fields of expertise, this study program prepares you for a career in this continuously growing sector. Experimental laboratory experiments, projects and excursions give additional insight into various careers and the fields of research, development and the use of renewable energies.
