Sociology as a minor subject

In your studies, you engage with the transformation of social structures and analyze how inequalities, organizations, or societal systems develop under changing conditions. In the process, you become familiar with sociological theories, methods of empirical social research, the study of social inequality, organizational and innovation sociology, as well as technology and environmental sociology.

  • Because you can expect subject-specific courses from central areas of sociology with a strong link to current research - supplemented by the teaching of fundamental social-science methods and by elective options both within the modules and between two advanced specialization modules.
