STANDARD PERIOD OF STUDY
The information systems study program concerns itself with the development and use of information and communication technologies in business enterprises and management. The focus is on:
- Architecture of computer-aided business information systems
- Planning and organization, as well methods of system development including programming of applications
- Management of the information “resource”
Information and communication systems are described as socio-technical (human-machine) systems. They are deployed based on economic criteria with the goal of the optimizing the availability of information and communication.
Requisite content is interest in economic questions as well as their interconnections combined with analytical thinking capacity. Interest in mathematics and statistics is a plus. Knowledge of English is desirable, and so are being a self-starter and self-organizer.
