University of Stuttgart scores highly in CHE rankings

Internationalization and research funding ranked in the top group

In the CHE rankings for master’s degree programs which were released a few days ago, the University of Stuttgart scores highly for its openness, and was ranked in the top group for the international orientation of its master’s degree programs. When assessing the international orientation, the number of international students, study programs in languages other than German and joint study programs with universities abroad are taken into account. The University also came in the top group in the “Research funding per researcher” category.

The University of Stuttgart’s Civil Engineering program ranked in the top group for “Research funding per researcher”. Electrical Engineering and Information Technology came in the top group in both the “Contact with work environment in master’s degree programs” and “International orientation in master’s degree programs” categories. Master’s degree students in Mechanical Engineering rated the “Courses offered” and the “Transition to master’s studies” as very good. Mechanical Engineering at the Faculty for Aerospace Engineering and Geodesy was also rated as very good in the “Contact with work environment in master’s degree programs”, “Research funding per researcher” and “Doctorates per professor” categories. The subject of Mechanical Engineering at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering also impressed in the categories of “International orientation in master’s degree programs” and “Doctorates per professor”, where it is also placed in the top group. The “Courses offered” was rated as very good by master’s degree students in Civil and Environmental Engineering.

The CHE ranking is the most comprehensive and detailed ranking of universities in the German-speaking countries, with over 150,000 students surveyed and more than 300 universities examined. The latest online ranking includes the opinions of master’s degree students in the subjects of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Civil and Environmental Engineering as well as Psychology.
