American Physical Society würdigt bahnbrechende Arbeiten zu Rydberg-Atomen

Herbert P. Broida-Preis für Prof. Tilman Pfau

Prof. Tilman Pfau, Director of Physics V of the University of Stuttgart, has been awarded the Herbert P. Broida Prize of the American Physical Society, recognizing and enhancing outstanding experimental advancements in the fields of atomic and molecular spectroscopy or chemical physics.

“For pioneering, field-opening contributions to the physics of Rydberg atoms in ultracold and room-temperature gases, and for the first observation of ultralongrange polar Rydberg molecules.”

The prize will be handed over at the DAMOP in June next year.
