Master's study program

Training to become a secondary school teacher requires completing a Master of Education with the same subject combination as your Bachelor’s degree. The University of Stuttgart allows you to continue your studies directly with the Master’s program in Chemistry for Teacher Education. 

If, after completing your bachelor's degree in teaching, you decide that you do not want to become a teacher, there are other Master's programs available to you at the University of Stuttgart.

Job & career

The fields of work for NwT teachers are primarily within general education high schools (Gymnasien) in Baden-Württemberg.

Some graduates have also chosen to pursue careers in research, industry, or business. Thanks to the interdisciplinary training in natural and technical sciences, a wide range of career opportunities is also available in this field.
