Media Computer Science - Bachelor's study program

What I liked most about the Media Computer Science program was that later in the course, you can freely choose which subjects to take. This allowed me to specialize according to personal interests and try out many things. During my studies, I learned how to approach problems in computer science systematically and to quickly acquire new knowledge. For example, I worked with many different programming languages. This also helps me now in my work to get up to speed quickly with new concepts or programming languages.

In the Media Computer Science program, it was particularly interesting to work on courses where you could program something creative yet also requirement-specific: Whether it was a small computer game, a sharing platform for various items, a fitness tracker with integrated analysis functions, or an interactive information display. At Sensoriens AG, we create marketing materials for the real estate industry, such as computer-generated visualizations, video clips, or architectural models. The latter are produced using 3D printers, which we also modify and further develop in-house. I deal a lot with hardware and software tasks, where my knowledge from my studies benefits me in my daily work.

What I particularly liked about my Media Computer Science studies was that there were so many choices. This way, I was able to explore very different subject areas and even specialize in some fields during my Bachelor’s studies. I draw on the practical programming experience I gained from projects and exercises every day in my work as a software developer.
