Equal opportunities and diversity are important prerequisites for optimal study and work conditions in all fields of science. Stuttgart University therefore is committed to the objective of equal opportunities for all members with all of their variety. It therefore regards equal opportunities and diversity not only as critical features of an innovative and thriving college but also as important instruments of quality development and quality management.

Equal treatment of men and women

The focus of the activities is on the equal treatment of men and women in science* in which the Equal Opportunity Commissioner and the Equal Opportunity Department have been significantly involved since the early 1990s. Together with the Rectorate and the Central Administration and several other participants from the faculties concepts for the equal treatment with targets and equal treatment measurements are being developed which will then be implemented step-by-step.
