Energy Engineering - Master

The Master’s program in Energy Engineering offers a choice of two specialization tracks: The first specialization must be subject-specific and therefore selected from Group 1. The second specialization may also be selected from Group 1 or, if you prefer an interdisciplinary option, from Group 2.

For a longer stay abroad, you can participate in one of two double Master’s programs:

• Double Master’s Program “Energy Engineering – Sustainable Energy Systems” with Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg, Sweden
• Double Master’s Program “Energy Engineering – Renewable Energy”
  with the Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena (UPCT), Spain

Admission to and participation in both programs are governed by the academic regulations of both universities. Only students enrolled in the Master’s program in Energy Engineering at the University of Stuttgart are eligible to participate. Applications are accepted once a year with a deadline of December 15. The admissions committee for the Master’s program in Energy Engineering is responsible for the selection process.

In addition to the double Master’s programs, you can spend one or two semesters abroad through an exchange program or go abroad for a research stay, language course, internship, or summer school. The International Office (IO) provides all the important information you need in group counseling sessions.
