Good knowledge of French is an important admission requirement. English skills are also important.
Selection criteria and admissions statutes
The B.A. in Social Sciences (German-French) requires an entrance examination. The entrance examination is designed to assess the special aptitude and motivation for the chosen program of study.
Application
- Please apply via the campus management portal C@MPUS. By submitting your application, you are simultaneously applying to take the entrance examination. Please upload a motivation letter in French (approximately 2 A4 pages) as part of your application.
- The application deadline is May 15 of each year.
- After a preliminary review of the submitted applications, you will be invited to a selection interview, which takes place in June.
- Once you have successfully passed the entrance examination, you are automatically included in the admission process.
- Applicants who do not yet have their Abitur certificate by May 15 must upload it to C@MPUS by July 15.
Applicants who have previously passed the entrance examination: Applicants who have already successfully passed the entrance exam do not need to take it again. Nevertheless, we ask that you re-submit your application by May 15. If this is not possible, please contact our academic advisors or the Institute of Social Sciences by July 15 at the latest, providing proof of your successfully passed entrance examination from previous years.

EU citizens have equivalent status to German citizens but must proof their good knowledge of German.
