Study program structure and content

The study program focuses on the personal development of prospective teachers, the promotion of practical-methodical teaching skills in sports-related activities, and the scientific study of physical education.

Practical-methodical courses include 10 core subjects: Handball, soccer, basketball, volleyball, gymnastics, athletics, gymnastics/dance, swimming, combat sports, and snow sports. These are complemented by courses in the pedagogical-didactic area for the school subject of physical education, as well as scientific-theoretical courses in anatomy and physiology, exercise and motor science, sports medicine, sports sociology, and sports psychology.

The teacher education program includes several modules from educational sciences that deal with questions of upbringing and education. In addition, you will complete a three-week orientation internship at a school during your studies.
