Renewable Energy Engineering

Nowadays, few topics shape political debates as much as climate change – around the world, companies and countries are striving to reduce their CO₂ emissions. A central role in this context is played by the future supply of electricity and heat. The Renewable Energy Engineering study program focuses on technical solutions for the use of renewable energies, drawing on the content and methods of both the natural sciences and engineering. The program covers the full spectrum of renewable energies: Wind, photovoltaics, solar thermal energy, hydropower, biomass, grid integration and smart grids, energy management, fuel cells, and hydrogen.
