Water Resources Engineering and Management (WAREM) - Master

WAREM is a two-year M.Sc. program comprising 120 ECTS credits spread across four semesters. The first three semesters each consist of 30 ECTS credits of coursework while the fourth semester is dedicated to the master’s thesis.

The curriculum includes:

• three mandatory modules
• five selectable mandatory modules (chosen from a predefined set of specialization modules)
• six elective modules that allow students to tailor the program to their interests and career goals

In addition, German language courses worth up to 6 ECTS credits are available for international students who wish to develop language skills and professional opportunities in Germany. German students can choose from a wide variety of key qualification courses.

The coursework focuses on:

• Sanitary Engineering
• Groundwater Resources Management/ Geohydrology
• Stochastic Simulation for Hydrosystems
• Hydraulic Engineering /River Basin Management

You can choose the double-degree track and earn two master’s degrees within two years: one from the University of Stuttgart and one from the Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden. This unique opportunity allows you to gain international experience while obtaining qualifications from two highly regarded universities.
Alternatively, you can spend one semester abroad at one of the international partner universities of WAREM or the University of Stuttgart and broaden your academic and cultural experience through a wide range of exchange opportunities.
