Technical Education Teaching Qualification - Master

The master’s program in Technical Education offers two different study tracks with opportunities for individual specialization:
Profile A is designed for graduates of a bachelor’s program in Technical Education or a comparable program and builds on the subject areas chosen during their bachelor’s studies. It includes specialized courses in educational science and subject-specific pedagogy and prepares students for teaching at vocational schools and for careers in vocational education.
Profile B is designed for graduates of engineering study programs and includes modules in educational science and subject-specific pedagogy in addition to the compulsory elective. This profile prepares graduates in particular for roles in workplace training and continuing education and in education outside the school system. By completing additional coursework, students can qualify for admission to the preparatory teaching service for vocational schools. 

Both Profile A and Profile B include 10 weeks of school internship and 42 weeks of field internship (18 weeks of field internship for graduates from a Technical Gymnasium; students who have completed vocational training are exempt from the field internship).
