Key research areas and projects

Engineering Cybernetics is a research-driven discipline that encompasses both fundamental research in systems and control theory and applications in fields such as robotics, medical systems, and renewable energy. Our institutes are involved in all major research networks at the University (BiTSSimTechIntCDCCyber Valley) and collaborate with external partners such as Fraunhofer IPA and the MPI-IS. This strong research environment creates excellent opportunities for academic careers; around 50% of our graduates go on to pursue a PhD.
