The M.Sc. in Computational Linguistics provides advanced, career-oriented training for a dynamic field with diverse and promising career opportunities. Computational linguists are in demand across many future-oriented fields even though job titles vary and do not necessarily include the terms “natural language processing” or “computational linguistics.”

The program prepares graduates for specialized roles in companies that use language technologies. Areas of work include research and development in LLMs and AI, intelligent search engines, electronic dictionaries, dialog systems (e.g., for customer service), machine translation, text databases, and voice-controlled applications (e.g., in the mechanical engineering, automotive, and communications industries).
