Study program structure and content
The first semesters
In the first three semesters, you will learn the fundamentals of mathematics. Unlike in school, not only numeracy skills are important. The applicable rules of calculation and their properties are derived from fundamental assumptions, known as axioms, and are rigorously formulated and proven through definitions and theorems.
Your studies
The further course of study provides you with a broad overview of important areas of mathematics and a confident command of its tools. The teaching qualification includes several modules in educational sciences, which address questions of upbringing and education. In addition, you will complete a three-week orientation internship at a school during your studies.
