Study program structure and content

The program starts with the first two semesters dedicated to building a solid foundation in language practice and linguistics. From the third semester onward, this knowledge is applied and further developed in advanced seminars. You can choose where you want to focus your studies.

The teacher education program includes several modules from educational sciences that deal with questions of upbringing and education. In addition, you will complete a three-week orientation internship at a school during your studies.

The Italian Teaching Qualification is broadly structured into five main areas:

  1. Approximately 30% linguistics
  2. Approximately 26% language practice
  3. Approximately 20% literary studies
  4. Approximately 12% regional and cultural studies
  5. Approximately 12% subject-specific didactics
