Simulation Technology - Master

Information for prospective students

Course content, study program structure, and the application process – guidance and information on the Master's study program in Simulation Technology at the University of Stuttgart.

Study program structure and content

The Master's study program in Simulation Technology combines mathematical modeling, simulation, and data analysis, while allowing you to focus on your personal areas of interest.

Four mandatory modules establish the shared foundation. You can flexibly design your own specialization from a wide range of options, with guidance from a personal advisor selected from among the faculty.

The range of potential applications extends from astrophysics to cell biology. What unites them is the question of how complex systems can be understood and digitally represented. Through research projects and your direct connection to the Stuttgart Center for Simulation Science (SC SimTech), you will be working on real-world problems from the very beginning – not on contrived textbook examples.

Studying abroad

Intercultural exchange, enhanced language skills, fresh perspectives on your field of study, exciting adventures, lifelong global friendships — all this and more awaits you during a stay abroad! Are you interested in studying abroad for one or two semesters, or doing a language course or an internship, or would you like to take part in a summer school? The International Office will help you to make your stay a reality.
