Study program structure and content
The Master’s program in Movement Science and Biomechanics combines movement science, computer simulation, biomechanics, and neurophysiology and offers a wide range of opportunities for students to choose their own areas of focus.
The compulsory modules provide in-depth knowledge of movement generation, movement control, and motor learning as well as the physical loading and adaptation processes of the human body. Two module groups allow you to broaden your academic profile and specialize in either modeling and simulation—with topics such as human models in automotive engineering and continuum biomechanics—or the neuropsychology of movement. The close integration of experimental research, data analysis, and simulation makes it possible to analyze and understand complex movement systems from different perspectives. The focus is on the question of how human movement can be measured, explained, modeled, and optimized.

Studying abroad
A stay abroad offers opportunities for international experience and intercultural exchange, ideally after the third (academic) semester. Through Erasmus+, the university has partnerships with institutions of higher education in France, Spain, and Sweden, among others. The Institute and the International Office support students in planning and organizing their stay abroad.
