Software – Shaping the Future!

Software is indispensable in almost every aspect of life today. It must be stable, reliable, and user-friendly. The Software Engineering program teaches students how to develop new software, adapt existing software, and reuse it – while utilizing AI methods to create intelligent, adaptive, and automated solutions, as well as AI-supported analysis and optimization techniques.

The program focuses on best practices in software development and models that can be used to ensure and verify software quality. What is particularly exciting is that you will work directly on real-world scenarios that demonstrate how software is developed in actual projects. Combined with the strong theoretical foundation of a university degree, you will be excellently prepared to meet the demands of the software industry.

Good to know

Not only will you gain in-depth knowledge, but you will also gain a wealth of practical experience –especially through the real-world study project. The program places great emphasis on the practical application of computer science, rather than just learning the theory.

The Department of Computer Science at the University of Stuttgart excels in research and teaching and offers a wide range of courses. This enables you to specialize in the areas that interest you most during your studies and define your own path.

Practical learning is a major advantage: You will be introduced to real-world tasks right from the beginning and can immediately apply what you have learned. And the best part? You will benefit directly from the department’s research expertise, as the latest research findings are continuously incorporated into the curriculum. One highlight is the course project, which provides you with the best possible preparation for the working methods you will encounter in your professional career.
