Study program structure and content

In this study program, you acquire broad knowledge about the complexity of human movement. For this, you need anatomical, physiological, and biomechanical knowledge, which is provided in lectures and seminars. Mathematical methods, essential for modeling movement sequences, are primarily taught in the modules "Advanced Mathematics 1 & 2" and "Statistics and Data Analysis".

Get a glimpse of how the study program works.

In the courses, students learn about spiroergometric measurement methods, among other things. These are used to analyze people's physical performance.

In project-oriented seminars, they also carry out numerous measurements themselves: for example, measuring the electrical activity of the brain while running on a treadmill.

Here you can see how, as part of a bachelor's thesis, the muscle activity of the neck muscles is measured while driving in a driving simulator.
