Prospects after the Bachelor's study program

Master's study program

Training to become a secondary school teacher requires completing a Master of Education with the same subject combination as your Bachelor’s degree. The University of Stuttgart allows you to continue your studies directly with the Master’s program in German for Teacher Education.

If, after completing your bachelor's degree in teaching, you decide that you do not want to become a teacher, there are other Master's programs available to you at the University of Stuttgart.

Job & career

Most of our graduates work as high school teachers, sometimes also at comprehensive schools or vocational schools. However, some students also complete their teaching qualification and go on to work in other fields. 

Outstanding student teachers have the opportunity to pursue a doctoral degree studies.
