The nearest public transport stop is the bus stop "Lindenmuseum" (bus lines 40, 42, 43, N10), which is located at the back of the building. The main entrance is easy to reach for wheelchair users. To enter the building, you have to get over a small threshold, and the doors of the vestibule can only be opened with effort. To get to the actual library, you need to request assistance via the house phone (marked) in order to get to the 1st floor.

Computer workstation for the visually impaired and the blind — see at the bottom of this page at university's library (infomation in German only).

The main entrance is wheelchair accessible from the park (south side) and well marked.

The basement (stacks) is not suitable for persons with a visual impairment. Missing step markings, poorly lit corridors, reflective flooring and a low clear passage height (< 1.8 m) make orientation difficult. The flooring in the building is highly reflective, step markings are missing.

There are university parking spaces between no. 2 and 2a Breitscheidstrasse (temporary lecture hall).

The elevator is wheelchair accessible, but cannot be used without the assistance of the house staff (please use the designated house phone).

The entrance doors are not automated and can only be opened with effort. The doors in the hallways can only be opened with great effort.

There is an accessible restroom on the ground floor (Eurokey locking system), but it may be too small for some users (door opens inwards into the turning space of a wheelchair).
