|Curriculum||Since October 2009 Professor for Organizational Sociology and Innovation Studies at the Institute for Social Sciences at the University of Stuttgart.
Before Research Affiliate (since fall 2005) and Senior Scientist (since the beginning of 2008) at the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Societies. From 1998 to 2007 Social Scientist at artec - Research Center for Sustainability Studies, University of Bremen. From 2004 to 2007 Board Member of this Center, in 2007 vice-speaker of this board. In the academic year 2000/01 visiting professor at Karl-Franzens-University, Graz (Austria) and Senior Fellow at the Institute for Advanced Studies on Science, Technology, and Society (sts) in Graz. In the second half of the 1980s and the first half of the 1990s first professional positions as scientist at the department of Economics at the University of Bremen and at the Hamburg Institute for Social Research. From 1995 to 2009 teaching at the University of Bremen, first at the department of Economics and since 2000 at the Institute of Sociology.
From 2000 to 2005 Member of the discussion group „Innovations- und Technikanalyse“ (Analysis of Innovation and Technology) of ITA at the Federal Ministry of Education and Research. 2008 Member of an international expert commission for the evaluation of the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Stockholm/Schweden.
Since 2007 Member of the Executive Board of the German Sociological Association in the section "science and technology studies"
Since 2011 Co-Editor of the Open Access Journal Science, Technology & Innovation Studies (STI-Studies).
Since 2011 Member of the Advisory Board of the
Sociology of Science and Technology Network (SST-Net) of the European Sociological Association (ESA)
