From Paris to the Swabian capital

On 11 June 1839 the job of senior teacher of Chemistry and Technology was advertised in the Kingdom of Württemberg's official newspaper. Among the thirteen applicants was Hermann Fehling from Lübeck, who had just turned 28 years old. He started work in September 1839.
