“Whether in the fields of architecture, urban design or design – we believe that every spatial complexity must be drawn first and that the first act of construction grows and develops from this drawing. Drawings are a tool that can capture not only the existing logic of a space, but also the potential of what is being planned for the future... we are convinced that the solidity, usefulness and elegance of space can only be generated by the quality of the drawing.”

The architectural office NP2F (Paris, Nice) was founded by François Chas, Nicolas Guérin, Fabrice Long and Paul Maître-Devallon in 2009. With numerous prize-winning projects, such as the Centre National des Arts du Cirque, the four partners have garnered a lot of attention as members of a new generation propagating interesting new architectural beginnings in France.

This lecture will be delivered in French with translation assistance.

Upon invitation from Kyra Bullert, Institut für Raumkonzeptionen und Grundlagen des Entwerfens (IRGE) at the University of Stuttgart.

Supported by Institut français Stuttgart. This event is sponsored by the Robert Bosch Foundation, with funds from the DVA Foundation.
