Airbus and the University of Stuttgart want to work together even more closely in the future. At the International Aerospace Exhibition ILA in Berlin Thierry Baril, Personnel Director at Airbus and Professor Peter Middendorf from the Institute for Aircraft Construction (IFB) at the University of Stuttgart signed a relevant agreement.
The University of Stuttgart thus becomes another member of the Airbus Global University Partnership Programme (AGUPP). This association comprises universities in Europe, Asia and North America. In Germany the Technical University of Hamburg and the Technical University of Munich are already partners in the association.
Professor Peter Middendorf emphasised at the signing of the agreement in Berlin, “We will organise the new partnership with Airbus in the interest of the students in a vibrant manner. The program will contribute towards creating even more attractive framework conditions for the internationally renowned degree course in Stuttgart’s aerospace.“
Airbus Personnel Director Thierry Baril explained, “The University of Stuttgart is one of the leading universities in Germany, in particular when it concerns aerospace. We are delighted to invest in the exchange and to work on the qualification profiles of the future. In this way we will jointly prepare the young people for their careers in aerospace.“
