20 Years of the German-French Social Sciences Study Program

July 3, 2017, Nr. 56

Panel Debate with Joschka Fischer and Former Students

The German-French “Social Sciences” program, a collaboration between the University of Stuttgart and Sciences Po Bordeaux, is celebrating its 20th anniversary. The institute in Bordeaux belongs to the French elite higher education system of Grandes Écoles. Many young people have graduated from the program since it launched in 1997, thanks to support from the Franco-German University and other partners. The program enables German and French students to study at both sites in alternating years. The 20th anniversary year has been marked by several major challenges for the European Union, such as the Euro crisis and the rise in anti-European sentiment. The events held to commemorate the anniversary will address these topics.

We would like to warmly invite media representatives to both anniversary events celebrating “20 Years of the German-French Social Sciences Program” on Saturday 8 July 2017.
