The Welcome Center of the University of Stuttgart offers two unique welcome receptions this year, designed to help you settle into Stuttgart and foster connections within the academic community. Why attend both?
Each reception has its own unique focus:
- Our university reception emphasizes internal networking within our research community and provides a more informal and familiar atmosphere.
- The city reception offers a broader introduction to Stuttgart, including key insights into life in the city and the opportunity to connect with researchers from various institutions outside of the university.
University of Stuttgart Welcome Reception – October 1st, 12:00–14:00
Organized by the Welcome Center at the University of Stuttgart, this reception offers a relaxed setting for both new and established researchers to meet and share their experiences. Whether you are new to Stuttgart or have been here for some time, this event provides an excellent opportunity to exchange insights, network, and connect with colleagues over snacks during your lunch break. The focus of this reception is on fostering community within our university, making it the perfect occasion to meet peers and mentors in an informal setting.
City of Stuttgart Welcome Reception – October 16th, 17:00–19:00
Hosted by the Welcome Center of the City of Stuttgart, this event is specifically tailored to researchers who are new to Stuttgart. It offers a comprehensive introduction to the city and its services for international citizens. The program includes a guided city tour followed by a reception at the city’s Welcome Center. You will also have the opportunity to hear from our esteemed keynote speaker, Prof. Dr. Brem, a renowned expert in entrepreneurship and innovation science here at our university. This event will allow you to explore Stuttgart’s offerings, ask questions and meet international researchers from other institutions, including the Max-Planck-Institutes and the University of Hohenheim.
